For many tourists and residents, September is the best month to enjoy Ibiza. Although it is still summer, the temperature is more pleasant and the beaches are not so crowded, the traffic is more fluid and it is when you enjoy the island in its entire splendor. Although it is well known, Ibiza is much more than parties, sun and beaches.

We propose some plans discover Ibiza in September.

Explore the city and discover its history

The old town and the city (Eivissa) are home to the main museums. The Renaissance walls and Dalt Vila are themselves an open-air museum.

If your visit to the island coincides with the weekend, this is of interest to you: every Friday at 9:30 p.m., in the Port of Ibiza there is a FREE sample of Ball Pagés with typical dances and local clothes.

On Saturday afternoons you can learn the history of the construction of the Renaissance walls through theatrical visits at very affordable prices.

If you want to enjoy the sea and the island’s paradisiac beaches, Ibiza has more than 50 coves and beaches so you can choose the one you like most according to your preferences. Fine sand coves, long beaches with its beach clubs or tiny and secluded coves. In every of them you will have gained towel or sunbed space as this time of year the island is less saturated.

From the Port of Sant Antoni, boats leave for sea tours all over Ibiza or trips to Formentera. How about a sunset on a catamaran? Ask for information at the reception or by email at info@hostaltarba.com

In our city (Sant Antoni de Portmany) local Saint’s Patron festivities of Sant Bartomeu are celebrated. One of the most amusing activities is the BATTLE OF CARTAGINS AND ROMANS that is celebrated every year the first days of September.

Touring the towns of Ibiza is also a more than recommended plan. Stop in one of the emblematic bars of Santa Gertrudis, stroll around Sant Carles and its surroundings or eat some good lamb chops in Santa Inés.
Jesus and Sant Agustí towns which also celebrate their Patron Saint’s Festivities with activities artisan markets and performances in the town and around the Churches.

On the 15th, 16th and 17th of September, the Beer Festival will be held at the Exhibition Center of Ibiza. The entrance costs € 3.5 and you will have the opportunity to relish more than 165 beer references. There will also be food stands where you can taste local food, tapas and even sushi.
The children also have a space in this celebration as there will be activities to entertain the little ones. At night, and for adults, 80’s party and DJ’s, more than a good plan!

At the end of the month the calendar is completed with the CLOSINGS of the main discotheques. Amnesia, Hï, Ushuaia … all have closing parties where you can dance by the rhythm of the electronic sounds of the most relevant international DJs to say goodbye to the summer. Ask us at reception, we have sale of tickets with special prices for advance sale.
As you can see, there is still a lot to see and do in Ibiza!
